This year, the new normal for Combermere School will include remote teaching.

The ‘blending teaching’ approach will see staff teach an entire class, as normal, but with half in the classroom and the other half online.

To make the remote learning successful and seamless, the school requires a robust Wi-Fi system throughout the compound and the alumni association has taken up the challenge to provide it by the time school begins in September 2021. OSI has been contracted by the Ministry of education to install WiFi hotspots throughout the school by Jul 2021. Once that project has been completed the CSOSA will evaluate what has been installed and determine if any dead zones exists. Our plan is to eliminate such dead zones and to ensure that the main teaching block has WiFI within all the class rooms so as to facilitate blended teaching by the beginning of the next school year, i.e. Sep 2021
