Ready and Willing to Serve
As I write this note I am humbled by the trust you have placed in me to lead the next Executive Committee of the Old Scholars Association for yet another year.
I am delighted to introduce the committee for 2021-2022, which includes some younger members to carry the torch.
As you know, the Annual General Meeting was held on February 25. It was held via Zoom which allowed for greater participation by our fellow brothers and sisters resident overseas.
I hope this will encourage more alumni to become active in the association and its related activities.
After general discussion, a new executive committee was selected, as listed below; ready and willing to serve and be of service to our alma mater.
- President – Mark Ince
- 1st Vice President – Nicola Thompson
- 2nd Vice President – Andrew Greene
- PRO – Ricky Jordan
- Treasurer – Debbie Hyland-Hall
- Corresponding Secretary – Marcia Dottin
- Recording Secretary – Liesl Gaye Gajadhar
- Floor Members: André Burgess, Bertram Bispham, Marlene Hurdle-Walcott, Stevon Roberts, Gail McAlister, Anthony Seale
As a Committee, we are committed to serving and doing the best we can.
We will be seeking your assistance and cooperation as we execute the projects and plans for the upcoming year.
This year, there will be a greater thrust to reunite and reconnect. In so doing, to refocus our energies on several projects.
A calendar of events will be designed and shared but subject to change due to the pandemic.
We will continue to share updates through the CSOSA Pulse newsletter and the website. Therefore, please send us any news or information to info@csosabarbados.com.
In closing, I welcome the new committee members and, on their behalf, say thank you for your confidence in us.
I hope to see many more of you joining us in our various ventures and social gatherings.
Up and On!
